STORM-DAMAGED OR JUST WORN OUT? WE CAN FIX IT.

Severe storms roll through the Chicagoland area every year, and hail and wind take a real toll on Fox Valley roofs. If your roof took a hit, or it’s simply showing its age, AAA Roofing is here to help. We’re a family-owned roofing company based in Sugar Grove, and we’ve been repairing and replacing roofs in this area since 1999.

You’ll get an honest assessment of what your roof actually needs. Sometimes that’s a full replacement. Often it isn’t. A handful of lifted shingles, a failed pipe boot or a length of cracked flashing can usually be repaired for a fraction of the cost of a new roof, and we’ll tell you when that’s the case.

WHAT WE REPAIR

Most of the calls we take fall into a few categories:

  • Active leaks. Water stains on a ceiling, damp insulation in the attic, or drips during heavy rain. The visible stain is rarely directly under the entry point, so the first job is finding where the water is actually getting in.
  • Missing, cracked or curling shingles. Wind lifts and creases shingles, and sun and age make them brittle. Once the mat is exposed, deterioration accelerates.
  • Hail bruising and granule loss. Impact knocks the protective granules off the shingle surface. You often see the evidence in the gutters before you see it on the roof.
  • Flashing failures. Chimneys, skylights, valleys and wall junctions are where most persistent leaks begin, not the open field of the roof.
  • Pipe boots and vents. The rubber collar around a plumbing vent dries out and splits, and it is one of the most common leak sources we find.
  • Storm and impact damage. Fallen limbs, wind-driven debris and ice damming along the eaves.

REPAIR OR REPLACE? WE’LL GIVE YOU THE HONEST ANSWER

This is the question nearly every homeowner asks us, and the answer depends on three things: how old the roof is, how widespread the damage is, and whether the underlying deck is still sound. A localized problem on a roof with life left in it is a repair. Damage spread across multiple slopes on an aging roof usually isn’t worth repairing twice.

We’ll show you what we find and explain the trade-off. We are not going to talk you into a new roof you don’t need, and we are not going to patch something that will fail again next season and cost you more.

WORKING WITH YOUR INSURANCE

Storm-damage repairs often run through your homeowner’s insurance, and that process trips people up. We’ve guided Fox Valley homeowners through it since 1999. We’ll document the damage, meet your adjuster at the property, and make sure what’s on the estimate matches what your roof actually needs. We represent you in that conversation.

COMMON REPAIRS, PRICED UP FRONT

No mystery invoices, and no free-quote runaround on service work. These are the real numbers, so you know what a repair costs before anyone drives out.

Shingle Blow-Offs

$450

Per bundle (up to 20 shingles) on a walkable roof. Steep, two-crew roofs double. Each additional bundle is another $450.

More than two bundles down? It’s usually smarter to open an insurance claim — most deductibles are around $1,000, and that much wind damage may total the slope.

Aluminum Fascia (Gables)

From $750

We pull the old metal, bend a color-matched replacement at the shop, and re-hang it.

Roof Leak Diagnosis

$125 trip + $125/hr

Plus materials. Finding the leak is the hard part — a lot of the time it isn’t even the shingles.

Recreating a stubborn leak with a hose crew runs $500–$1,000.

General Roof Inspection

$125 trip + $125/hr

For non-storm checkups. Storm-damage inspections and full-replacement estimates are always free.

Free stays free: full roof replacement estimates and storm-damage inspections never cost a dime.

How scheduling works: send photos, we price it, and a signed estimate or a card on file locks your spot on the service schedule.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU CALL US

No mystery and no runaround. Here’s exactly how a roof repair goes.

1

We Take a Look

We inspect the roof, the attic where we can reach it, and the places leaks actually start — flashing, boots and valleys. You get photos of what we find.

2

You Get a Straight Answer

We tell you whether it’s a repair or a replacement and why, with a written, no-obligation estimate. No pressure and no scare tactics.

3

We Handle the Claim

If it’s storm damage, we document it and meet your adjuster at the property so nothing gets missed.

4

We Do the Work

Our own crew, on the date we committed to, cleaned up when we leave. Customers regularly tell us it looks like we were never there.

ROOF REPAIR QUESTIONS WE GET A LOT

How do I know if I need a repair or a whole new roof?

It comes down to the age of the roof, how widespread the damage is, and whether the decking underneath is sound. Isolated damage on a roof with years left in it is a repair. Damage across several slopes on an aging roof usually means replacement is the better value. We’ll show you what we find and explain the trade-off before you decide.

My ceiling is stained but I can’t see anything wrong on the roof. Why?

Water rarely enters directly above where it shows up inside. It travels along the decking, rafters and insulation before it drops. That’s why the stain and the actual entry point are often several feet apart, and why finding the source is the first job.

Is storm damage covered by my insurance?

Wind and hail damage is commonly covered by homeowner’s policies, though coverage and deductibles vary. We’ll document the damage and meet your adjuster on site so the estimate reflects what the roof actually needs. Check your specific policy for details.

How soon can you get out here?

Call us at (630) 844-2553 or book an inspection online and we’ll get you on the schedule. If you have an active leak, tell us — those move to the front.

Do you work on my town?

We work throughout the Fox Valley: Naperville, Aurora, Plainfield, Oswego, Yorkville, Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles, Elgin and the surrounding area. Our office is in Sugar Grove. If you’re not sure whether you’re in our area, just ask.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. AAA Roofing is licensed, bonded and insured in Illinois, license #104.015004, and we’re BBB A+ accredited. We’ve been family-owned and operating here since 1999.
